The Flash Flood Watch continues for * Portions of Kansas and Missouri, including the following areas, in Kansas, Atchison KS, Doniphan, Johnson KS, Leavenworth, Linn KS, Miami, and Wyandotte. In Missouri, Andrew, Atchison MO, Bates, Buchanan, Caldwell, Carroll, Cass, Clay, Clinton, Daviess, De Kalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Jackson, Lafayette, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway, Platte, Putnam, Ray, Sullivan, and Worth. * From 7 PM CDT this evening through Tuesday evening * Several rounds of thunderstorms with heavy rainfall are expected this evening through Tuesday afternoon. Total rainfall amounts of one to four inches will be possible during this period. This rainfall will fall on already saturated soils, increasing the potential for flash flooding. * Low-lying and flood-prone areas will be most susceptible to the dangers of flash flooding. Areas near rivers, creeks, and streams will likely become flooded during and immediately after heavy rainfall.
