Hello,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to a new year at ACCES. I am looking forward to working with your child throughout the school  year, which surely promises to bring with it many new experiences and challenges. In order to make the year a successful one, teamwork and cooperation will be required by all. As your son’s or daughter's teacher, it is my goal to help him/her become a confident learner, and I will do my best to make this year a positive experience for your child. Parent communication is very important to me. I believe that good communication between teachers and parents/guardians fosters success for your child's learning. Emailing is a very effective way to contact me. I try to respond the same day, when possible.

On a personal note, I was raised in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, which is located on Lake Michigan. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin and Master’s Degree of Education from Cardinal Stritch College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Prior to teaching at USD 377, I taught in Wisconsin and Montana. I reside on a farm northeast of Effingham with my husband, Dean, and our seventeen year old son, Cole. In my free time, I enjoy reading, baking, taking walks, helping my husband on the farm, and attending ACCJSH sporting events and other school activities.

In closing, I am dedicated to working with you to foster the educational achievement of your child. By working together, your child will have the opportunity to dream, achieve, and succeed.
