Lisa Mead Places Third at Nationals (submitted by Clayton Lucas) - “Lisa Mead was a third-place winner in the short story division for 11th grade.  Kansas had the most winners.  A total of 61 entries were first, second, or third for $980 to be distributed to students.  There were 10 short story entries from all levels.  Of all the entries received, she was third.  Third at nationals is wonderful.  That is quite an honor.”

JSH Campus Beautification - The ACCHS chapters of the National Honor Society and Future Farmers of America collaborated on a beautification project to care for the existing landscaping and to add new landscaping around the school sign in the front of the school. They planted shrubs, trimmed bushes, raked dead debris, and spread a great deal of mulch around it all. The campus looks especially nice for graduation on May 16.
