I graduated from Washburn University in Topeka, KS. My first teaching job was in Effingham, KS at Atchison County Community High School. I taught at ACCHS for seven years, from 1984 to 1991. I stayed home with my daughter for several years. I re-entered the teaching profession in 1997 when I joined the education department of Let’s Help located in Topeka. I taught Adult Basic Skills and GED preparation classes there for four years. In 2004 I returned to Atchison County Community Schools spending the 2004-2005 school year teaching eighth grade reading and seventh grade language. I moved to the high school and this will be my second year back at ACCHS. I live in Topeka, KS with my husband, my daughter and dog named Henry.
